What It Can Transcribe
- YouTube links — use it as a YouTube transcript MCP in ChatGPT or Claude.
- Links from TikTok, Instagram, X, podcasts and direct media URLs.
- Shared Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive links.
- Audio and video files — attached in ChatGPT, or uploaded from your device in Claude.
The result card shows the start of the transcript with Copy, Export (TXT, SRT, VTT) and a link to the full transcript.

transcribe_file / upload_file- Transcribe an audio or video file — attached in the chat (ChatGPT) or sent through an upload box (Claude).
get_transcript- Read a finished transcript, in parts for long recordings. Read-only.
Limits
Free daily allowance for guests and free accounts; TranscriptX Pro lifts most limits. Nothing is purchased inside the chat. Very long media may exceed your plan, and private or removed links cannot be transcribed.
Privacy
TranscriptX only receives the link or file you ask it to transcribe. Uploaded files are deleted within 12 hours. Disconnect anytime from ChatGPT or Claude settings. Privacy Policy
